I can't seem to find any significant data on the web about this panel
mounted GPS. Even Southeast Avionics website has very little information
about the Trimble product line and they usually are an excellent
reference point. Does anyone still use this GPS and are current
databases still available? Also, what value does it add to an aircraft
or does it just reduce the useful load?

It's a decent VFR GPS. We had one in a club Arrow until recently when we put in
a Garmin stack. I have a manual PDF, probably downloaded from Free Flight Systems.

We updated ours from Jeppesen maybe 8 months ago. Be careful, there is an IFR
version that is different and takes a different database.
